We are able to provide confidential STD testing and treatment at most clinics, and clinicians are able to counsel you about STD prevention. We are also equipped to help you through the process of HIV testing and, if needed, referral for treatment. Everyone aged 13 to 64 should be tested for HIV at least once, since getting tested is the only way to know if you have an infection. To test for HIV, we take blood samples by a finger poke or by a blood sample from your arm. If your test results are positive, you will receive counseling about what to do next. Your doctor will work with you to make sure you receive the best possible care.
If you think you might be at risk of contracting HIV, talk to us about pre-exposure prophylaxis, or PrEP. PrEP is a pill that, when taken every day, helps people prevent HIV infections by working to keep the virus from establishing a permanent infection after exposure. OneWorld is committed to making PrEP affordable and easy to access. As a community health center, we can offer discounted lab testing and appointments. Our pharmacy, located at our Livestock Exchange Building campus (4920 S. 30th St.), can help with medication assistance programs.

National: About Ready, Set, PrEP
Ready, Set, PrEP is a nationwide program led by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The program provides free PrEP medications to people who do not have insurance that covers prescription drugs. It expands access to PrEP medications, will reduce the number of new HIV transmissions, and brings us one step closer to ending the HIV epidemic in the United States.
