October 2003

Aric Lane
Posted: Tuesday, October 21, 2003

Aric Lane, who has played a significant role at Nebraska AIDS Project and in Omaha’s GLBT community, will move to the Seattle, Wash., area in November.

Aric will work for Lifelong AIDS Alliance in Seattle. He will be men’s health outreach coordinator.

He was chairperson of Omaha’s National Coming Out Day events in 2002, and he served two years as volunteer coordinator for the Pride Festival

Aric started at NAP as hotline coordinator in May 2002. Two months later he became MPower coordinator. Since then he has worked with hundreds of gay and bi-sexual men in Nebraska, educating them on healthy lifestyles.

Joe Gerstandt, director of education and prevention at NAP, said: “Being the MPower coordinator is a difficult job. Aric has met the challenge and I think he has really put his mark on one of our most important prevention programs.”
